Hello, friends! I don’t know about you but it is a constant struggle to pair booties and the perfect length pair of jeans. Not to mention the bigger struggle to make sure they hug your ankle perfectly. Now that temperatures are warming, it is the perfect time to find some great booties on sale. There are some trends that I wouldn’t suggest waiting until after the season to buy but luckily I don’t think the bootie trend is leaving anytime soon.
I can personally vouch for all of these Jeans. I own all of them. I kissed a lot of frogs/tried on a lot of jeans to find my prince/top lineup in denim.
Pair #1 by Current/Elliott from Nordstrom. Low rise, buy a size down (always a plus), and hit right above the ankle. They pair perfectly with an ankle bootie, such as these fab olive colored booties by Andrew Marc.
Pair #2 by Splendid. I also love leggings by Hue. These booties are perfect with leggings for a casual night out or even to slip on with your yoga pants.
Pair #3 by JBrand from Bloomy’s. JBrand is my go-to for denim. They are the perfect length, I am always the same size, and they consistently fit flawlessly. I love these jeans because they are longer and are still tight around the ankle, perfect for cuffing with booties or tucking into my new favorite booties by Chloe.
Pair #4 by JCrew. I just bought these and LOVE them. They are high-rise but not super high. They hit right at the ankle so they pair perfectly with a heeled bootie, like the Tiffany bootie from Andrew Marc. Side note- they come in black and dark brown.
I hope this line-up helps if you struggle denim length syndrome, like myself. Happy shopping!
I remember the days when one wouldn’t dare wear pink and red together. Now, I can’t get enough of a deep red, such as a Marsala, Port, or a Burgundy paired with a pop of pink.
I always find it so interesting that I once swore off a look and then later down the line loved the same matchup. For example, wearing silver and gold jewelry together. In high school and college, I would have never mixed metals. Now, I mix metals on the daily. What trend did you use to dislike that you now love?
I have searched for a pair of Port flats. Oka B always comes through! They are the perfect winter flat and can be dressed up or dressed down thanks to the adorable bow and gold bow clasp. I also love the Navy pair. Be sure to check them out and treat your feet!
As some of you know, my husband and I recently bought a house and moved in at the end of October. We moved from a condo, so there was/is a lot we needed to buy. Slowly but surely we are getting there. Initially, I knocked out the bigger purchases, such as a desk, gym equipment, a full-length mirror, etc. I am now feeling more comfortable that the spaces are decorated with furniture but what I lacked was Art. We literally have nothing on the walls. I enlisted the help of a friend, who has launched her Fine Art business and who is amazingly talented. Meet my friend and talented artist, Lindsay Ghata.
Lindsay is originally from Florida and currently resides in Atlanta, good news for Atlanta locals (even though she ships)! She has studied Art in Florence, Italy and has done calligraphy for the past 5 years. Last year she started painting as a secondary creative outlet from her current job in advertising.
At Lindsay Ghata Fine Art you can find acrylic, pastels and oil, large and small, and abstract paintings. My favorite is the gold foiling that she adds to some of her paintings. The other great thing about Lindsay Ghata Fine Art, is that Lindsay offers consulting on design ideas based on your space. Be sure to check her out on Instagram too.
I have a long way to go but here are some of the pieces I chose for my Master Bedroom mantle. Which one do you like the best?
