Okay, I might not look the best in orange but if by wearing orange I help bring awareness and support Hunger Action Month, I’ll do it!

Although this is a national campaign, the Atlanta Community Food Bank is launching a series of efforts to spread the word about HAM. Here are some quick facts about hunger in America…

  • 1 in 7.5 people turn to the Feeding America network of food banks for food assistance
  • An estimated 755,400 people in metro Atlanta and north Georgia turn to food pantries and meal service programs each year
  • 80,600 people visit a food pantry or meal service program in our area each week
