Yes, I write a fashion blog but I also live in fitness clothes or as I call them “yoga clothes”. And although I love my yoga clothes, I still always make sure I’m presentable.
Have you ever heard the saying, “it’s not how you play the game, it’s how you look playing the game”? My mom used to say this to me when I played sports when I was younger. My dad obviously felt the opposite. I actually agree with both of them! Just because you are going to work out or be involved in some kind of athletic activity does not mean you have to look like a mess. Here are some easy things you can do to make yourself presentable while hitting the gym.
- Layer: Now that the temperatures are dropping you can make yoga pants look like leggings for a night on the town. So wear your cute little yoga pants and your cute little yoga top and throw an oversized sweater and a scarf on and people won’t know if you just came from the gym or you are headed to a lunch date.
- Wear earrings: I would much rather walk out the door without makeup on than not wear earrings. Studs, people! No statement earrings to the gym!
- BB Cream and mascara: I’m obsessed with YSL’s BB Cream. It is light weight, moisturizing, and gives a little glow.
Most people are more motivated to work out if they have cute fitness clothes to wear. So now that it is fall look for darker colors, leg warmers, oversized sweaters, and scarfs.
