I recently received a gift card to Sweet & Spark, an online shop featuring vintage jewelry from the 1950’s-90’s. They have so many fun pieces! When I saw these 1950’s vintage shoe clips, I was sold. I knew they would be perfect for dressing up my pumps and flats…And who doesn’t love vintage.

Let’s talk doughnuts!! I grew up in south Florida where the only doughnut shop around was Dunkin Donuts. When I moved to Atlanta, I quickly converted to a Krispy Kreme lover. Now, gourmet doughnuts are revolutionizing the doughnut industry…Why have a glazed doughnut when you can have a s’mores doughnut!!
If you are an Atlanta local, you must try Bon Glaze. My only suggestion is to go with a friend that likes to share because you will want to try all of their doughnuts and to be limited to one or two would be a disservice. I went with my husband and we ordered Meyer Lemon Glazed, Chocolate Curl, Apple Pie, Glazed, Orange Creme, S’mores, Maple Bacon, and a variety of their candied bacon (pictured left to right, top to bottom). I keep getting asked what my favorite was and I really can’t choose. The fastest to go were the Apple Pie and the Chocolate Curl, if that helps.

Though winter’s chill might still be in the air, spring trends are already front and center in the fashion world, including the latest to-die-for shoes that need to be in your closet right now. While some spring styles are probably best saved for warmer weather (hello, strappy sandals), others can be worn despite the chilly temps. Start your 2016 off on the right foot with these must-have, wear-everywhere shoes.
Embellished Western Booties
Ankle boots are a fall and winter staple, but this spring season, designers are taking the classic style up a notch with luxe western elements. A pointed toe, intricate stitching, vibrant embellishments, and metallic accents were common features among the various styles on the spring runways, making these shoes instant standouts. For ultimate all-season versatility, opt for a style with a low or chunky heel to make walking on slick sidewalks a cinch.
High Shine Silver
Shimmering metallic hues are big for spring and can be found covering everything from skirts and dresses to handbags and shoes. Rock this trend now with a shiny silver pump. To keep this style winter-weather friendly, Vogue recommends pairing it with a cute sock (and snagging a taxi rather than walking the five blocks to your destination). Make sure the sock looks deliberate, especially if opting for an open-toed shoe. Another option for staying warm in this metallic trend is to choose a closed-toe platform style and pairing it with sheer black tights.
A welcome deviation from the wedges and platforms that permeate most seasons’ shoe trends, spring’s sneaker is equal parts comfy and chic. Not to be mistaken for your average pair of kicks, Harper’s Bazaar writes that these styles feature an elevated design that reimagines the classic shapes. Think unexpected fabrics such as suede, colorful eye-catching embroidery, and metallic finishes that set these sneakers apart from the crowd.
Easy to slip on and go, the mule provides both versatility and a certain retro appeal. Whether you prefer a chunky suede heel or a flat, slipper-inspired style, this shoe wears well with anything. Lyst’s collection of shoes for spring is an ideal place to look for a full range of the season’s mule trends, as it pulls examples from different designers across the industry. Pair this popular style with leather leggings and an oversized sweater now, then with a boho chic maxi once the spring weather officially arrives.
