I am so excited to share this blog post with you today! I was at the lovely, Three-13 Salon and Spa in Marietta, GA last weekend to get a little makeover; a department that I always need help in! Jamie Williamson, a makeup artist for Mirabella, introduced me to the makeup line and taught how to contour. OMG! I learned so much; Mirabella is an amazing beauty line.
The couple of takeaways I learned from Jamie are to start contouring at the top of your ear. I typically started mid-ear…Oops! I also learned, that you should contour around the top of your forehead with bronzer to give a nice even look.
My biggest issue with makeup is I feel no matter how long-lasting a product or brand claims to be it never stays on. To make sure this wasn’t the case with the Mirabella line, I left it on all day and guess what? It stayed on from 11am until 9:30pm…Wahoo! I loved all the products that Jamie used on me but the two products I couldn’t live without were the CC Creme and the Brilliant Highlighter.
Lucky you, Three-13 Salon and Spa is offering thirty minute makeovers for $25 on December 18th and 19th. What is great is that the $25 fee can be used towards a purchase. Call now so you can reserve your spot- (770) 426-0313.
Three-13 Salon and Spa gave me three new guest coupons. Each coupon has up to a $100 or more off your first visit. If you would like to be one of the three lucky people to receive this coupon, email me at email@example.com and I will mail you the coupon/savings card.

Does anyone else own a million nail polishes? I am definitely guilty of this. I get so much joy out of finding new polishes and picking out my nail color for the week.
I am constantly trying to make my life more efficient and organized, which brings me to indexing your nail polishes. I promise it is easier than it sounds.
What you need:
- All your nail polishes
- White Index cards
- A Pen
Step 1: Line up your polishes by color.
Step 2: Each index card can comfortably fit 15 colors (3 rows of 5). Section out what colors will be on each index card. Let’s be honest, you will purchase more nail polishes in the future so you will want to leave some space for future colors.
Step 3: Write out the brand and the name of the color for all your polishes on the index cards, following the imaginary grid of 3 rows of 5 colors.
Step 4: Paint the coordinating color under its name.
Step 5: Let dry overnight.
Extra OCD Step: Place your nail polishes in a plastic container in the same order that’s on your index cards.
One of my favorite things to do is get my nails done. I go like clockwork every Thursday. Every other week I get a manicure and on the in between weeks I get a polish change to give my cuticles a break. My nail tech, Anne is amazing! She goes to town on my cuticles and spends at least 45 minutes on my nails, hand massage and all.
Anywho, my weekly excitement is picking out the nail color I will choose for the week. If I’m lucky enough to make it a week with my nail polish still intact I do the tape trick to pick my color. I also use this trick in department stores when purchasing a color. They usually have tape behind the counter.
Instead of painting over a current polish or using a piece of paper to try the color, I use a piece of tape. Just paint some nail polish on a piece of tape and stick it on your hands or feet. This way you can see how the color matches your skin tone. You still may have some debating to do but this handy trick will make your decision that much easier.
