Is it Spring or is it Fall? Is it Spring or is it Fall? Is it Spring or is it Fall? Oh…Tweener weather. So the good news is navy and tassels are in year round and these fun Oka B flats have been getting me through the brutally hot Atlanta weather and the start of football season.
I think it is important to invest in clothing that can be worn year round or at least in the in between weather while seasons are transitioning. The items I am wearing in this post can all be worn in Spring and Fall. I love this Splendid dress because it is lightweight and long-sleeved, best of both worlds. On warmer days the sleeves can be rolled up. As for this wool Fedora, it is season transitional because of the material and light color. And last but not least, Oka B’s Easton tassel flat is perfect for Gator games and/or a stroll on Atlanta’s BeltLine. What are your favorite transitional pieces?
Here is a treat for your feet…
Hello blue skies! There is nothing more inspiring to me than a beautiful clear day. On this day in particular, there wasn’t a cloud in the sky, the temperatures were in the low 70s, and the sun was shining. On days like this, it is a crime to not incorporate color into your outfit, or at least it is in my book.
The possibilities are endless when mixing and matching color. This day was all about blue hues, from my denim jeans to my periwinkle tassel earrings. I tied it all together with neutral staples including a Louis Vuitton bag and my Oka B camel Matea ballet flats.
I encourage you to play with color during these warmer months. Think monochromatic, ombre, or even opposite colors on the color wheel. A pink or yellow blouse would look fabulous with a pair of turquoise drop earrings, a pink dress with a light pink belt, or even light blue gingham shorts with a navy top…Play! Adding color to my daily look puts a pep in my step. What inspires your daily looks?
A little savings never hurt anyone…
Eeek! So I kind of love every individual piece of this outfit and I will explain why. This 1.State top I love because it is less than $40 and it is so flirty and feminine that it will pair well with almost any bottom. These J Brand jeans and the perfect skinnies and they are sooo soft!! The white Aella blazer feels like yoga clothes and will carry me through sprung and summer. As for my Marc Fisher platforms, obsessed!! I have been living in them, and I can because they are the most comfortable shoes I own. What is your favorite piece?
